Stoutly potted with eight faceted sides and a broad shoulder with short neck to a flared rim, decorated with two pairs of reticulated quatrefoil panels each enclosing a striding dragon and a flying phoenix amid pierced floral scrolls, the shoulder molded with a pair phoenix amidst lotus scroll, all above a band of tall lappet panels encircle the foot, covered overall with a rich pale blue glaze, the unglazed foot revealing the grayish stoneware,18 in high.
