Three 'Eight Horses of Mu Wang' snuff bottles
19th centuryA famille rose porcelain example of flattened circular form with twin beast-mask handles, Daoguang seal mark (old breaks and repairs), bottle 6.1cm high, stopper; an inside painted glass example of flattened rectangular form, signed Ye Zhongsan dated ji hai (1899), bottle 7.2cm high, stopper; and a yixing stoneware example of globular form incised and enamelled with colourful horses on a blue ground between patterned and stiff-leaf bands, old collector's label '664' to base.bottle 6.4cm high, stopper (6).
