|画案通体为黄花梨木制就，案面攒框镶板，板面双拼无束腰，面下设长牙条，光素无工，纹理细密紧致。采用弯弧有力的霸王枨连接案面与腿足，如此设计既增加稳定性，又颇显灵动，内翻马蹄足遒劲有力。整器淡雅高洁，极尽简练，线条硬朗，包浆温润，韵味独特，为典型的明代式样。此案体量较大，造型舒朗，布局舒朗，简洁明快，明万历版木板画《水浒传》中，一幅插图内也见一相似平头案。简约之间凸显气势，置于斋室作为画案，颇为适宜。||参阅：《明式家具赏珍：加州中国古典家具博物馆所藏珍品》，旧金山，1995年，页60
