题识：东园三日兼风雨，桃李飘灵扫地空。惟有此花偏耐久，阶前常放数枝红。子易方洺。说明：方洺，字子易，安徽桐城人。方苞七世孙，方仲勖子，基隆同知方祖荫之侄。因行八，自称“龙眠八郎”。光绪十六年(1890)赴台，居于大稻埕千秋街。能诗、工书、善画。所做竹石花卉，喜以苍劲简老出之，甚近吴昌硕；山水韶秀可爱，时得横云老人雅境。旅台五载，足迹遍全省，后游东瀛，遂未归。作品在台不少，人多宝之。钤印：子易
