Italian opera composer (1831–1902) most notably remembered for his 1869 opera Ruy Blas, which was based on a play by Victor Hugo. AMQS on an off-white 7.5 x 4.5 sheet, signed below in ink, "Roma, 26 Set 84, F. Marchetti," who adds six crisply penned bars of music from an unknown work above. In very good to fine condition, with scattered light foxing, and light staining to the edges.
