FIRST COLLECTED EDITION of the anatomical and physiological treatises. Fabricius, teacher of Harvey at Padua, discovered the venous valves. His work must have influenced Harvey to turn his experimental efforts toward an accurate explanation for the function of the venous valves. See previous lot.
