White jade carved in shape of boat. Two monks rowing the boat accompanied by their dog. The carving recumbent HanShan and ShiDe were poet-monks of the Tang Dynasty. They are usually depicted as unkempt figures on a boat. Known as two Immortals symbols of Harmony and Unity. Presented upon a carved hardwood base. The Nephrite jade shows clean white-celadon iridescent, with moist milky appearance. Elegantly displayed on carved hardwood stand.
