Extravagant, Chinese Tibetan Ming Dynasty gilt bronze Bodhisattva Buddha figure of Simhanada Avalokiteshvara with a slim body, one face, two hands, three peaceful eyes, with the face slightly smiling. The right hand is extended above the knee in the mudra of giving refuge. The palm of the left hand is supported the body. The breast encircled with a white Brahmin string necklace; with a lower garment of silk. The body is slightly thin and dexterous. The legs are in royal ease position, with the right knee raised, and left leg drawn in. Extensive trace of gilt remain on surface. The underside of Buddha shows a rectangular cut-out, a precisely fitting bronze comes with the sculpture.
