Elegant, Pair of Chinese Kangxi Wucai porcelain general helmet Jars. Stoutly potted with baluster jar with tall feminine silhouette with broad shoulders and a body, pinches at the waist then elegantly fans near its foot. The baluster jar is capped by a relatively tall bell-shaped lid, in form of a generals helmet, crowned with an oval blue pinnacle. Vividly decorated with a concentric scene of lush persimmon fruit dangling from a thriving tropical banana tree. This focal image is surrounded by several other various flowers blooms and fruiting, a huge rock in a cobalt blue, terraced garden, ruyi clouds in rose color, bodies that line the outer-rim. The rim is circumscribed by a double-lined border. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful luster, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy. The glaze terminating slightly about the foot base, with pale-creme base spotted firing marks, ground and unglazed under-base with dark-brown and black firing marks from kiln process. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye.
