Chinese Jiajing reign Ming Dynasty period red & white porcelain bowl. with simply gently rounded side emerging steeply to a slightly everted rim, raised on the concave footed ring base. The exterior hand-painted in copper-red against the pale white underglaze ground, with floral blooms, interlocking foliage, scrolling Ruyi clouds, and repeating auspicious Ruyi pattern in the foot. Banded with a double iron-red fine ring on the foot and upper mouth rim. The immaculate porcelain body covered with a characteristic silky glaze, pooling on the base slightly veiling the mark. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant finish that was applied by a meticulous glaze, the shape is uniformly proportioned.
