印盒釉色透泽，盒盖彩绘花蝶图，笔触纤巧精致，整体装饰手法富有宫廷风范，底书“乾隆年制”蓝料款。印盒作为盛放印泥的文房用具，以瓷质为最佳，前人有“印色池，惟瓷器最宜。若瓦器，耗油。铜锡有锈。玉与水晶及烧料俱有潮湿之弊，大害印色。近有以石为之，亦不适用”。
