刘海粟 江苏省常州人。祖籍安徽省凤阳，名盘，字季芳，号海粟。1912年11月与乌始光、张聿光在上海创办现代中国第一所美术学校“上海国画美术院”任校长，并取苏轼“渺沧海一粟”词意，改名“海粟”。首创男女同校，采用人体模特儿和旅行写生，被责骂为“艺术叛徒”，但得蔡元培等学者支持。历任南京艺术学院院长、名誉院长、教授， 上海美术家协会名誉主席。中国美术家协会顾问、全国政协常务委员会委员。英国剑桥国际传略中心授予“杰出成就奖”。 意大利欧洲学院授予“欧洲棕榈金奖”。
