Group of (7) Chinese and Japanese porcelain dishes for the Western export market. a) 5 blue and white bread plates with floral motif; b) shallow octagonal dish with foot with design of cranes in landscape, obscured mark on base and wax stamp "Customs Permission A39"; c) square blue and white plate with rural scene. Dimensions are: bread plates - between 5 and 5 5/8 inches diameter; shallow dish - 8 inches diameter X 2 7/16 inches high; blue and white plate - 10 1/2 inches square. All measurements are approximate. Condition: 4 of the bread plates have a small chip out of the underside of the rim; the shallow octagonal dish has natural inclusions in the glaze and some light dirt residue on surface; the blue and white dish has natural inclusion in the glaze, but is otherwise free of chips and repairs.
