Two Japanese netsuke of a toad and one of a cat. The cat is made from imitation amber and has a one character signature next to the himotoshi on the otherwise uncarved underside. The toad is carved from sandalwood with the himotoshi going through the side and a character signature on the carved underside. Dimensions are: toad - 1 inch tall X 1 5/8 inches wide; cat - 1 1/8 inches tall X 1 3/8 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There is a small chip to the bottom of the cat.
