本品精锻而成，配饰华美。主体为痕都斯坦式纹饰，采用错金工艺，具有浓郁的异域情调。匕首把呈马首状，卷耳凸目，面目祥和，眼中均嵌有宝石，光亮灿然，极富质感。把首开孔，插以钢刃，刀背错金为饰，华美斑斓。匕首鞘部的佩刀上下两端亦均有错金装饰，风格与主刀同。痕都斯坦指建立于公元1526-1858年的莫卧儿帝国，其纹饰风格因造诣高超、工艺奇特，又具有异国情调，清朝内廷一度流行仿制，此物当即其时利用其风格制作而成，铸造精良，绚烂夺目，极为难得。
