天球瓶是受西亚文化影响极深的一种瓷器造型，创烧于明代永乐、宣德年间的景德镇窑，青花天球瓶、粉彩天球瓶、紫釉天球瓶、郎窑红天球瓶、五彩天球瓶。永乐朝开始成为观赏式瓶，宣德年间较为流行。盛于清代雍正、乾隆两朝，为宫廷陈设用瓷。「天球瓶」原名为「千秋瓶」，象征着「千秋太平」之意。此件藏品瓶直口，长颈，圆腹，腹下渐收，浅圈足。通体白釉地绘青花纹饰，腹部浑圆，绘以青花缠枝莲纹，笔触活泼细腻，其造型既保留天球瓶的雄伟气势，又予人精巧新颖之感。整器造型大气。
