此椰壳雕螭龙纹银里盘器形规整，外壁椰壳，呈栗色。朱红漆胆，敞口，弧腹，圈足。外壁刻螭龙纹，螭是古代传说中的一种动物，属蛟龙类。《说文•虫部》有释：“螭，若龙而黄，北方谓之地蝼。”其形盘曲而伏者，称蟠螭。躯体比较粗壮，有的作双尾状。底外延沿饰莲瓣纹，中间落“西园”款。椰壳为雕刻品中一小品种，在制作之初数量较少，有心藏者亦少，故流传至今者更难得觅。
