此佩白玉洁白无瑕，温润细腻，所选用羊脂玉料上乘。整器呈竹节形，造型别致，竹枝为框，中央镂空，透雕细枝竹叶绕于其上，琢磨精细，形态逼真。竹枝雕刻圆润光洁，曲折优美，竹叶刀锋利落，凌厉挺拔，对比鲜明，同时古语“竹报平安”，竹子在古人眼中是平安吉祥之象征。既表现竹子温润谦虚又不失挺拔气节之意。旧时文人贤士多喜竹，人云：“宁可食无肉，不可居无竹。”
