Handsome wood with hand rubbed patina and tight grain. Arched sides with thinner angled ends.One heavy metal plate still attached on the inside. Easily adaptable to an existing home or incorporated into one being built or remodeled. Wonderful over a bookcase,mantel,bar or doorway or for use as a bed canopy with side and back draperies.
