Unsigned 19th century oil on canvas from England. Framed in the original antique dark gilt ornate frame which is in extremely good condition with exception to the left lower side where a small area of the raised carving is missing,see photo.Depicts a meandering wide stream flowing behind an English castle in a wooded setting behind on a balmy day with blue skies. A horses head seen peeking out along one tree and a small cottage with water wheel on the left of the stream.The oil itself has minute bits of paint worn in a quarter inch straight line on left and right side of the painting along the frame,otherwise excellent with no cracking to the canvas.Hangs with cord attached to the back.Measures 25 L X 19 H X 1.75 D.Item ID: WC37894
