Fabulous pair of hand blown footed vases mid 19th century , probably used as celery vases. Marked on the bottom of one with two blue dots and cream letters resembling ":ON or DN". The pair is ribbed with etching on front among the hand painted enameled floral in blue,white,gilt,orange/red tied with a blue flowing bow and outlined at center with white and dark orange.Additional etching below the bow and on the back. Small bubbles of hand blowing showing the start and finish point. The two are slightly different in height but the same width with one being slightly more blue glass than the other more grey/gold. When used apart the difference is very undetectable and yet further beauty of hand blowing. Upper rim and front crease outlined in gilt, slightly worn with age.No chips, cracks or nicks one of the most outstanding pair seen in many years of hand blown quality.Measure 12.5 H , 11.78 H X 4 3/8, 4.25 L X 4.25 D.Item ID: BR29535
