A blue and white Chinese porcelain brush washer from the late Qing Dynasty with an image of Zhong Kui - the "Vanquisher of Evil" studying, with a sword beneath him, and a pair of stylized bats flying overhead. double blue circles mark the underside. H: 11 3/8 in. (3.4 cm) D: 5 1/2 in (14 cm) Condition: in good condition with several chip on the inside foot of the washer as well as a number of "pin-hole" sized holes in the glaze, likely from the time of manufacture.
