A cream colored Chinese porcelain Cizhou type Mei vase with large dark-umber rendered flowers and foliage painted in a window on one face & four lines of vertical Chinese text on the opposite side. Several stripes and bands of overlapping flower petal patterns adorn the upper and lower portions of the vase terminating in a particularly short neck and narrow mouth. H: 13 3/4" (35cm) Condition: Several glaze layer chips are seen near the base. Possible overpainting in several areas.
