A pair of lacquerware vases with trumpet necks, inverted balluster-shaped bodies, flared feet, and richly detailed, textured, mid-relief carvings throughout the exterior surfaces which depict robed figures in ideallic, rocky, pine laden rural gardens. Provenance: from a private Connecticut collector H.9 7/8in.(25cm) Condition: In overall excellent condition, with cracking of interior (black) lacquer on both vases and several minor flakes of black lacquer missing from the bottom of the foot of one vase.
