7th-8th century AD. A bronze Frankish bow brooch comprising a central thick D-section bow, U-shaped with facetted ends; openwork terminals, formed as a pair of addorsed dragon heads, each with lobed snout and return scroll beneath the lower jaw; pin-lug and ferrous remains to the reverse.
