A Kangxi Period, Chinese, porcelain bowl, with deep rounded sides rising from a straight foot to a gently flared rim, the exterior richly enameled in yellow with two dragons striding in pursuit of flaming pearls amidst cloud swirls and above a border of lappets at the base, all reserved against an underglaze-blue ground, the interior similarly painted with a blue ground medallion enclosing a yellow dragon, the base with a six-character Kangxi mark in underglaze blue. D: 5 1/2" (14cm) Provenance: Southeby's - Important Chinese Art September 2016, Collection of Henry Guinness de Laszlo (1901-1967), and thence by descent Condition: the rim has three restored chips,the largest measure aprrox 0.8 cm, two of which with an associated crack extending downward , the longest measuring approx. 5.6cm,there is a crack near the base ,encircling approx. 2/3 of the foot ,which can also be observed from the interior
