A pair of Chinese, blue and white, porcelain vase of inverted baluster form with a wide flared foot, a short, straight neck, and a dome-like cover with a god beast on the top. The body of the vase is decorated with to panels painted with three men chatting in the garden, filling with flowers and branches on the white background; the cover is filling with petals and leaves. There is a blue stamp on the underside illustrates "KangXi Mark" with four Chinese characters. H: 14.5in.(37cm) Provenance: collection of a New York collector Condition: both in good condition, one vase has some glaze peeling off to the mouth rim and little kiln crack to the foot (firing flaw)
