the cup is decorated around the steep, flaring sides with lantsa characters framed by a continuous lotus scroll, the base of the cup encircled by lotus lappets enclosing ruyi heads, spreading stem foot decorated with pendent tassels below a lightly molded band of detached flowerheads, and the interior with a central stylized flower head D: 2 15/16" (7.5cm) Provenance: collection of Irina Andreivna Kosyla(1928-1995) ,Paris, acquired in the 1940s Condition: in good condition with one small kiln crack to the inside bottom of the cup(firing flaw)
