A Catonese glazed teapot with a globular body, a short angled upright gilt spout, opposed by an ear-shaped loop handle, a short straight neck and a lid with a gilt ball on the top. The teapot lid is decorated with lotus and branches in pink and green color on a gilt background; on the body, there are two gilt-boarded panels painted with scenes of a small group of people chatting in the room, filling with flowers and leaves in pink, green and blue color; two panels painted with flowers and leaves are decorated on the neck with flowers and branches filling around on a gold background. H: 4.13in.(10.5cm) Condition: in good condition except for a small chip under the gilt mouth, and few minor chip( flea bite) to the finial of the cover
