万历柜因流行于明代万历年间并形成定式而得名。柜为架格和柜子的组合，上可陈设文玩，下可储放书籍物品。此对万历柜上下平直，可并列放置，亦可分列，适应性强。除了储物的功能外，对家居陈设也有极大的裨益。柜体用料考究，均以小叶紫檀为材，背板及侧边板亦为通料。柜分上格下柜，上层为亮格，有背板、装券口牙子。柜门加闩杆，平池对开，条形铜面叶上装吊牌，内部分为三层，第二层设有抽屉两具。底枨下装素牙板，器形古雅清逸。
