Set of 2 beautiful Italian marble over life sized carved Roman Emperors. These both appear to be 19th century and possibly Victorian. Busts sit on marble plinths & solid marble square tall Bases. The busts appears to be in very fine to excellent condition. Minor fissures appear which are most likely natural to the marble. The plinth of the Roman soldier appears to have a repair in the back, but it can also be a natural feature of the stone. The bottom back corner of the Emperor statue appears to have an old repair. Statues and bases, overall, are in very good condition. The measurements are: The Emperor with base is 77" in overall height. The bust is 37" tall and 32" wide. The base is 40 inches high and 18" wide square.The Roman, with the hat, is 79" in overall height. Bust height is 38", width is 29". Square bases are the same size and measurements.
