A lot of 10 rare copper drypoint printing plates by Dorsey Potter Tyson (American 1891-1969), all depicting scenes with Chinese characters: playing instruments, carrying umbrellas, waving swords, feeding geese, etc. Accompanying notes bear the following titles: "The Saber Dance" - 1964, "Study #6 Seated Figure" - 1964, "In a Mandarin Garden" - 1964, "Beggar", & "The Archer" D: 8 x 9 7/16" (20.3 x 24cm) [largest plate] D: 4 x 5" (10.2 x 12.7cm) [smallest 3 plates] Condition: The etchings are clearly visible, faint surface scratches on some, & a dark discoloration on the reverse of two.
