A Faience TankardNuremberg, mid-18th Century Faience. Pewter cover and base with Nuremberg hallmark. Ear-shaped handle reinforced with pewter. Polychrome decoration on yellow ground: the front with an oval cartouche enclosing a baroque scene with a view onto a garden, also featuring a winged heart into which a hand emerging from the clouds pours a liquid from a jug beneath the motto ''Patere Ut Potiare Petito''.
