4th century AD. An aqua glass double unguentarium formed as a folded tube with flared necks and folded rims, applied crimped trails to each side. Cf. Lightfoot, C.S. Ancient Glass in National Museums Scotland, Edinburgh, 2007, item 260 for type. 78 grams, 11.5cm (4 1/2"). From an important central London collection formed since the mid 1960s; thence by descent.
