A detailed hollow-cast boar figurine, possibly a chariot fitting, with bottle-shaped snout, annular tusks, lentoid eyes; incised fur texture to the flanks and longer strokes to the high crest along the ridge of the boarÂs back; mounted on a custom-made stand. 95 grams, 37 mm (1 1/2"). Property of a West Yorkshire collector; formerly property of a Durham gentleman by descent 1970s; found continental Europe early 1960s.
