A vellum page from a Book of Hours, written in the scriptorium at Rouen, Normandy, France; to each side a single block of dense blackletter text with sparse use of red and blue ink and gold leaf to versals and borders, broad floral border block to the inner edge. 3.02 grams, 16.2 x 11.5cm (6 1/4 x 4 1/2"). From the property of a London gentleman; formerly in a UK collection, acquired in the 1990s.
