A Chinese white jade rectangular cut out Wan Nian plaque dating from the 18th century. The plaque is cut out with a pair of dragons on either side, lingzhi, a bat at the top and it comes with a wooden stand. Dimensions are: 2 1/2 inches tall X 1 3/4 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: It is in overall good condition. Provenance: From the estate of Mr. & Mrs. Martinson in northern Minnesota. Mr. Martinson's grandparents Andrew and Anna Martinson went to China in 1903 and Mr. Andrew Martinson died in China in 1913; the couple's son, Mr. Harold Martinson, our collector's father, was born in China, as was Mr. Martinson himself in 1931.
