A Chinese blue porcelain brush washer depicting two bats and featuring animal head handles and dating from the Republic period. There is a 6-character mark on the bottom. Dimensions are: 7 1/8 inches wide X 2 1/4 inches tall. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Both handles have possible areas of repair. Provenance: From Mrs. Lin of Honolulu, HI, by descent from her parents, who brought their collection to Hawaii from China prior to 1954.
