冲耳炉是依宋代瓷炉制式而成。宋代所有的礼乐之器均以夏、商、周之青铜礼乐之器为据，传承弘扬，优形化神，创“冲天耳炉”之经典型制，并使其称为宣德炉之首型。此铜炉以上等精铜而成，束颈，鼔腹，三乳足，冲天耳，造型周正敦实，平视之方扁，比例匀称，线条流畅，皮色古朴，主体素面，不琢纹饰，尽显金铜之美。底部镌刻 “仿古”二字篆书款。整器曲线优美，古朴典雅，炭火供养，使得光泽内敛，温润古朴，十分难得。
