Description

端石制砚，石质坚密，包浆醇厚，器仿瓜形而制，开一硕大瓜形砚堂，平坦光润，边起阳线，砚额雕藤叶，藤蔓缠绕，下洼处成墨池，设计巧妙自然，砚背作瓜棱，砚额之藤叶过枝于此。端石随形而制，天真自然，外朴内淳，朴拙而不失灵巧，可见作者匠心之特具。张燕昌（1738～1814），小名阿莲，字芑堂，号文鱼，别号金粟山人，浙江海盐人。乾隆四十二年优贡。嘉庆元年举考亷方正。丁敬弟子。擅篆、隶，精金石篆刻。善画兰竹、兼善花卉、人物、山水。配脱胎漆盒。
