重104g六瓣菱花形，圆钮上花卉纹贴金，钮外被六颗宝石包围。主题纹饰为用金丝勾勒出一八瓣花卉，花瓣，花蕊处或贴金、或镶嵌玛瑙、绿松石及其它宝石。整体颜色搭配和谐，尽显富贵华丽。唐代金银器是唐王朝与外来文化交流的有力证据，金银器的加工技术日益完善，进而也影响到特种工艺铜镜的设计制作。唐代这类镶嵌宝石的特种工艺镜极其罕见，可参阅日本藏家千石唯司收藏的一面嵌宝金壳镜，与此镜风格相似。
