A red lacquerware cup carved with a lapis band along its raised spreading foot, panels of floral and stone arrangements against a diaped background on either face, bordered by floral scroll, with a repeating pattern of ruyi heads beneath the everted lip. Ruyi scepter handles are found at either side of the cup. A band of foliate scroll encircles the circumference of the cover with a floral head in the center, & an artichoke-shaped finial in the center. The interior of the cup, & underside of the lid & foot are covered in an uncommon blue hue. H: 5 1/2" (14cm) Condition: In good condition, with minor wear to the lacquer along the lip of the cup.
