A CHAM GOLD NECKLACE WITH 48 BEADS Champa, 10th-12th century. The necklace composed of 48 gold beads of three different shapes (in order of size): eight tubular beads with small nubs all around, one globular bead with little nubs as well and 39 beads of a compressed globular shape with decorative vertical markings. Attached to a textile string. Condition: Good condition, the beads with traces of wear. Provenance: A private owner, acquired from the collection of Dr. Istvan Zelnik several years ago. Weight: 27.1 g. Dimensions: Length 58 cm. Metallurgic analysis: Fine gold content (24K): Weight 19.6 g.
