A BASTAR BRONZE OF A SEATED DEVI, 19TH CENTURY Bastar, South India. A small figure of a seated village deity on a square conical base. Wearing a dhoti with a leaf apron, a heavy bejeweled necklace and beaded jewelry in her hair and ears, holding a scepter decorated with volutes in one hand and a fruit in the other. Condition: Good condition with minor wear, some dents and nicks. Provenance: Austrian private collection. Weight: 63.5 g. Dimensions: Height 5.5 cm.
