绣者运用线条交叉、层层加色的乱针法绣制。小猫的毛发蓬松且随姿态转侧而变化，胸前的毛丝运用丝理规律分缕自然。绣眼睛的线细，略有交叉，再加上白色的高光点，表现了炯炯发光的眼神。藤圈用不同色级的棕色线，按编织丝理绣，质感毕现。绣品具有色彩丰富、浑厚、形态逼真的特色。绣品由高级工艺美术师姚勤芳制作，中国刺绣艺术大师管佩英指导。
