原作为一幅工笔画，表现了黑白两色的一双马儿相互较劲嬉戏的场景。刺绣艺术家运用平绣中的多种针法，结合黑白等多种颜色、多个色级的丝线绣出马儿相互扭颈旋转的姿态， 肌肉块面凹凸毕现，紧致光亮厚实的皮毛。用细线条绣出丝丝飞扬的马鬃于马尾飘逸洒脱，最细处不逾蛛丝般粗细。整体绣面绣工细腻，针法灵活，色彩简洁而变化丰富，极具现代感。值得一提的是绣面中黑白二马较劲嬉戏的形态宛如中国古典哲学中的太极图，寓意深刻，发人深思。绣品由有数十年艺龄的府兰妹创作，中国刺绣艺术大师王祖识指导。
