Two 20th C.Chinese silver boxes and cover with jadeite, -the cylindrical body, intricately carved all around with six heptagonal cartouches enclosing a taotie beast, dragon, lucky medallion, turtoise, and crane, rising from a splayed foot, the domed cover decorated with chasing fan-tailed goldfish amid water plants, a band of flaming pearls encircling the rim, and a small jadeite medallion at the centre, with a tear drop finial. H: 3 1/4" (8.3cm) -the octagonal shape rising from a waisted foot, the body carved with eight cartouches enclosing mirroring symbolism to the first, with two additions of gnarled bamboo and blossoming floral branches, the thin straight cover with a large jadeite medallion at the centre, enclosed by a floral band with stylized ruyi, the short straight neck with a classic band enclosing the rim. H: 1 3/4" (4.5cm) Condition: both in excellent condition with no damage or restoration evident.
