主尊释迦牟尼佛螺发高髻，身着袒右肩袈裟，姿势与常见释迦牟尼成道相相同。两侧胁侍菩萨皆站立，手结不同印契。此像最突出的是背光和台座，背光呈尖圆形，其外缘雕火焰纹，背光上雕大鹏金翅鸟、摩羯和羊等动物形象，带有明显西藏早期造像背光装饰遗风。台座为多角亚字形，正面束腰上对称雕有供养人，上下又雕饰花形图案。背光、台座及胁侍菩萨上嵌有松石、显得富丽堂皇。
