Arabic manuscript of 324 leaves on beige paper, calligraphed in beautiful and regular "naskh" in black ink, on 12 lines per page, opening with a beautiful double illuminated frontispiece. The titles of the suras are in broad white "ruqa'" on a gilded background, the marginal mentions in gilded letters and the separations of verses are marked by illuminated starred pastilles. Interlinear Persian translation in red ink.
The colophon is signed: 'Abul-Hussayn b. Abul-Qâsem for Mir Muhammad Akbar, son b. of the late Mir Haydar, on the second day of the month of Jumada in 1090 AH".
Brown morocco flap binding with embossed and gilt floral cartouches and blessings, dated on the central polylobed medallion 1265H. (=1848).
