A Waiwai or Woro-Komi Woman's Apron Guyana/Northern Brazil, 20th century An extraordinary weaving of small black and brown disk-shaped beads cut from organic matter (possibly a nut) on cotton thread. The design is a positive/negative geometric pattern. Domestic parrot feather tassels at sides and fringe along bottom. A long, twined cotton thread for tying around the waist attached at top ends.
